CARTHAGE A second Carthage man was charged with an alleged December incident, during which state police said a vehicle was used without permission to steal beer from the Nice N Easy Grocery Shoppe, at 90 Bridge St.
Jeffrey D. Carr, 22, of 333 S. Washington St., Apt. D18, was arrested at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday and charged with petit larceny and third-degree unauthorized use of a vehicle.
According to police, Mr. Carr took the vehicle from Paul Grove, also of Carthage, even though Mr. Carr had been told on numerous occasions that he was not allowed to do so.
A second defendant, Kyle P. Roberts, 17, of 777 West End Ave., was charged with petit larceny on Dec. 31. Both are accused of stealing a 30-pack of Bud Light from the store.
Mr. Carr was arrested at the store and transported to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, where he was held on $1,500 cash bail pending arraignment in West Carthage Village Court.
