I completely agree with Larry Denesha letter on Jan. 4 about all the thanks we owe to the folks of National Grid.
The out-of-area utility crews and the tree crews went above and beyond to do whatever was needed to restore power during the recent ice storm.
I also believe we owe a big thank you to the members of the DeKalb Junction and Richville volunteer fire departments.
They were there to assist all of the people in DeKalb in whatever capacity was needed.
Those members who could help out and did help out whenever they could, I thank them for that.
But there were three members who deserve recognition for all that they did.
Those members are Bob Drake, Naomi Drake and Chris Blauvelt.
They gave up their family responsibilities and life to take care of the citizens of the town of DeKalb. Thank you so much.
