Former Watertown city manager dies at the age of 96

Watertown’s former City Manager Ronald G. Forbes, who ran the city government for 25 years, died Sunday at the age of 96.

A native of Coatesville, Pa., Mr. Forbes served as city manager from 1957 until he retired in 1982. After retiring, he moved back to his home state, where he died Sunday in a nursing home in Warren.

He is survived by a daughter, three granddaughters and five great-granddaughters.
