Steven L. Adams, 33, of 23783 White Road, was arrested by city police at 8:26 p.m. Thursday after he allegedly was discovered to be intoxicated during a traffic stop.
City police stopped Mr. Adams in the McDonalds parking lot at 924 Arsenal St. They said he was visibly intoxicated and found a small amount of marijuana in his front right pants pocket.
His blood alcohol content was 0.11 percent, police said. Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or more constitutes proof of intoxication.
He was taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building and held on $500 cash bail pending arraignment in City Court.
