CANTON — Evan LaPoint scored a team-high 19 points and the Canton boys basketball team rallied to beat Gouverneur, 63-61, in an Northern Athletic Conference Central Division game on Thursday night.

Louden Porter added 16 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter, for the Golden Bears (6-5, 4-5), who trailed 46-39 at the end of the third quarter.

Troy Gates led all scorers with 23 points for the Wildcats (4-8, 1-7), and Dustin Hutton netted all of his 14 points in the second half.

LISBON 38, HEUVELTON 16

jimmy Robinson delivered a 17 points and 15 rebounds as the Golden Knights downed the Bulldogs (5-6, 4-3) in an NAC West game at Lisbon.

Jake Putney chipped in 15 points and nine rebounds for Lisbon (10-1, 8-0).

MADRID-WADDINGTON 53, PARISHVILLE-HOPKINTON 15

Jacob Barney and Alex Hammond tossed 10 points each as the Yellowjackets routed the Panthers (2-8, 1-8) in an NAC East game at Parishville.

Harrison VanBuren chipped in nine points for Madrid-Waddington (7-4, 6-2), which outscored Parishville-Hopkinton 21-3 in the first quarter.

CHATEAUGAY 67, BRUSHTON-MOIRA 58

Noah Bowes scored a game-high 23 points as the Bulldogs defeated the Panthers in an NAC East contest at Brushton.

Tyler Jones and Zach Cowan each added 11 points for Chateaugay (5-4, 5-2).

Alex Burnett tallied 18 points for Brushton-Moira (6-7, 4-5).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

OFA 61, ST. LAWRENCE 52

Megan Dodge scored 21 points as Blue Devils outlasted the Larries in an NAC Central game in Ogdensburg.

Riley Luckie tallied 11 points for Ogdensburg Free Academy (7-5, 6-3).

Lindsey Thayer generated 19 points to pace St. Lawrence (5-6, 3-5).

MASSENA 50, SALMON RIVER 43

Samantha Villnave led the way with 16 points as the Red Raiders pulled away in the second half to beat the Shamrocks in an NAC Central matchup at Fort Covington.

Jessica Rode added 10 points for Massena (5-7, 4-4).

Jaden Mitchell netted 16 points for Salmon River (4-5).

MALONE 69, GOUVERNEUR 21

Rachel Lamica scored 15 points as the Huskies stay perfect as they cruised past the Wildcats in an NAC Central game at Malone.

Morgan Fountain collected 14 points for Malone (10-0, 8-0)

Emily Bush paced Gouverneur (4-9, 1-8).

TUPPER LAKE 32, COLTON-PIERREPONT 28

Amie Luton and Lizzie Zurek each scored nine points as the Lumberjacks (7-5, 6-3) edged the Colts in an NAC East matchup at Colton.

Courtney Marsh led all scorers with 13 points for Colton-Pierrepont (3-9, 2-7).

MADRID-WADDINGTON 71, PARISHVILLE-HOPKINTON 19

Tess Knight anchored a balanced offense with 16 points as the Yellowjackets beat the Panthers (3-4) in an NAC East game at Parishville.

Jenny King added 14 point for Madrid-Waddington (9-1, 7-0).

EDWARDS-KNOX 33, HARRISVILLE 30

Mackenzie Frary was the game’s high-scorer with 10 points as the Cougars held off the Pirates (2-7, 1-6) in an NAC West game at Russell.

Ariel Scott contributed eight points for Edwards-Knox (3-6, 2-5).

HERMON-DEKALB 70, MORRISTOWN 16

Bridget Rust’s 20 points led a balanced attack as the Demons routed the Green Rockets (2-6, 1-5) in an NAC West game at DeKalb Junction.

Hunter Hitchman supplied 15 points for Hermon-DeKalb (8-1, 6-0).

HAMMOND 68, ALEXANDRIA 46

Mikayla Horton scored 22 points as the Red Devils beat the Purple Ghosts in a nonleague game at Hammond.

Cassi Whalen tallied 18 points for Hammond (7-3).

Hannah Lynch registered 16 points for Alexandria (4-6).
