CHAUMONT Lyme Central School staff has organized fundraisers for two of its children: kindergartner Mylee Blaha, who has been fighting leukemia since September, and the 20-month-old son of first-grade teacher Christina Trottier, Greyson, who also was diagnosed with leukemia. Both Greyson and Mylee are being treated at Golisano Childrens Hospital, Syracuse.
A bottle and can drive will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at the post office parking lot, 12061 Route 12E. All proceeds will be split between the Blaha and Trottier families.
Wear Orange for Greyson Day will be Jan. 31 at the school. Students and staff are asked to wear orange clothing, ribbons and/or accessories to show their support for the Trottier family, and to make a donation of a dollar or more to benefit the family. Orange is the color of the leukemia awareness ribbon.
