DWI Wrap Up


The following are charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

n James A. Lucas, 30, of 220 Riverside Ave., Theresa, also was charged by St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

Deputies said Mr. Lucas was stopped on County Route 3 in Hammond for failure to keep right.

His blood alcohol content was 0.12 percent, they said. Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or more constitutes intoxication.

n Marie L. Zarzycki, 42, Madrid, was charged by state police with aggravated DWI early Saturday.

Police said Ms. Zarzycki was stopped by the Border Patrol on Route 37, Waddington, for traffic violations and for drinking alcohol in the vehicle while driving.

Ms. Zarzycki’s BAC was 0.21 percent, police said. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or more.

n Larry H. White, 44, Dupont, Wash., was charged by state police with aggravated DWI Friday afternoon.

Police said a car was following Mr. White’s vehicle on Route 11 in Gouverneur. When the driver of the following vehicle noticed his car swerving all over the roadway, he called police and a trooper made the arrest, police said. Mr. White’s BAC was 0.18 percent, they said.
