City police charged Lindsey L. Watson, 28, with second-degree harassment and first-degree criminal contempt after she allegedly struck a man who held an order of protection against her.

Police said Ms. Watson, of 142 Mechanic St., Apt. 708, struck David E. Proust Jr., who lives in the same apartment building, in the back, then grabbed his torso.

A protection order against Ms. Watson was issued in November by City Court.

Charged at her residence at 4:43 p.m. Friday, she was held pending arraignment in City Court.
