CLAYTON The Thousand Islands Land Trust has appointed Sarah Walsh as director of land conservation.
As director of land conservation, she will be responsible for the development of land protection policies and implementation of TILTs new strategic conservation plan. She will assist TILTs stewardship staff in the monitoring and managing of land and easements under the trusts care and work with landowners seeking to conserve their lands.
Ms. Walsh obtained her undergraduate degree in wildlife science from SUNY College of Environmental Science & Forestry and in March earned her masters degree in secondary education in biology.
She served as field technician at the Thousand Islands Biological Station, program manager for Save the River and summer educator for the Adirondack Chapter of the Nature Conservancy/Adirondack Land Trusts Adirondack Park Invasive Plant Program.
