NORTH LAWRENCE – State police on Thursday charged Brandon S. Arquiett, 25, of 228 Trippany Road, Apt. 16, Massena, with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
The charges stem from an alleged Jan. 18 bar fight at the Jug Tavern, Route 11C, in which Mr. Arquiett is accused of striking Isaiah J. Brothers, 28, of 1047 Buckton Road, Winthrop, in the face with a beer bottle, breaking his teeth.
Mr. Brothers was also charged with third-degree assault for allegedly striking Mr. Arquiett in the face.
Both men were taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam, where they were treated and released.
Mr. Arquiett was taken to Norfolk Town Court, where there was an open bench warrant for his arrest. He was sent to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, on $1,000 bail or $2,000 bond.
Mr. Brothers was issued an appearance ticket for Lawrence Town Court.
