* HEUVELTON — State police on Friday charged April M. Forbes, 30, of 4359 County Route 24, Russell, with aggravated driving while intoxicated. She additionally was given multiple traffic tickets.

Police allege Ms. Forbes was intoxicated when she placed a 911 call after striking a guardrail at 12:37 a.m. on County Route 15, town of Oswegatchie. She allegedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.21 percent. The state’s legal threshold for intoxication is 0.08 percent. Aggravated DWI is charged when a BAC registers 0.18 percent or more.

Ms. Forbes was issued appearance tickets for Oswegatchie Town Court.
