Over the past 10 years, I have fulfilled a dream to develop a community band that would rival any community band in the United States and at the same time provide high-quality, affordable entertainment for our communities. My Clayton Community Band has done just that, and we are very proud of our accomplishments.
It breaks my heart to inform our dear friends and faithful followers that I am retiring as conductor of the Clayton Community Band. It is by no means an easy decision, and I have shed many tears over the thought of no longer sharing my lifelong love of conducting with my community and family of friends.
But we all must retire at some point and accept when that time arrives as we look back at the wonderful contributions we have made to the quality of life of so many wonderful people. I will miss each and every one of your smiles.
The road from the Clayton Community Band will lead down another road that will allow me to share more precious time with my only other surviving immediate family member, my wonderful brother, Andrew.
I extend my heartfelt thank you for your support over the past 10 years and the honor of allowing us to enter your hearts.
