A Watertown woman was taken to Samaritan Medical Center after she was involved in a two-car accident Wednesday.
According to city police, Priscilla J. Johnson, 44, of 26522 Route 3, was driving south on the 200 block of Washington Street when she stopped abruptly because a pedestrian ran out on front of her 2002 Mercury sedan. Scott A. Kemp, 44, of 10765 Limburg Forks Road, Carthage, who was driving behind her, was unable to stop and slid into Ms. Johnsons vehicle. Police said Mr. Kemp was driving his 2006 Toyota pickup under 5 mph and neither vehicle sustained damage and no air bags were deployed.
After the accident, Ms. Johnson complained of neck pain from an old injury that was aggravated during the accident. She was taken to the hospital via Guilfoyle Ambulance for evaluation.
No tickets were issued.
