CRIMINAL CONTEMPT - MASSENA - Village police charged Kevin S. Hughes, 23, of 48 East Hatfield St., Massena, with second-degree criminal contempt, second-degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a child at 1:12 a.m. Saturday during a domestic dispute. He allegedly violated an order of protection when he pushed Brittany Clare, slammed her to the floor and threw her cell phone during an argument that took place in the presence of a small child. He was held overnight in the village lockup awaiting arraignment in Massena Village Court.



PETIT LARCENY - MASSENA - Village police charged Kelsey Lanning, 19, of 19 Brighton St., Massena, with petit larceny at 10:23 p.m. Friday after responding to a petit larceny complaint at the Massena Walmart. Lanning reportedly walked past the store’s last point of sale without paying for three Mountain Dew sodas valued at $4.79 and a package of beef jerky valued at $7.98. Lanning was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.



AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION - MASSENA - Village police charged Timothy M. Berry, 38, of 54 Grove St., Massena, with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle following a traffic stop at 12:24 a.m. Saturday on South Main Street.
