CONSTABLEVILLE — A snowmobile accident Thursday morning in the town of West Turin resulted in injuries for one Erie County woman, as well as tickets for her and a companion.

Wendy L. Schwartz, 34, Kenmore, was traveling over a hill crest on trail C7B, according to Lewis County sheriff’s deputies, when she lost control, hitting a tree head-on.

She was taken by Constableville Snowmobile Rescue and Turin Ambulance to Lewis County General Hospital with chest trauma. Lewis County Search and Rescue assisted.

Ms. Schwartz was ticketed on a charge of imprudent speed and is to appear in West Turin Town Court.

Deputies said her boyfriend, John E. Roneker, 41, Buffalo, was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Mr. Roneker was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and failure to display a valid registration.
