The F.X. Baumert and Co. cheese factory and office in Antwerp is shown in this postcard donated to the Times by Mary Hungerford Grant, a former Point Salubrious resident. The reverse side of the postcard reads: Feb. 26, 1926, Dear Cora came out to Orins last night. Em and Orin fine but Roads Bad lots of Snow will tell all about the trip when I get home. Well and hope you are. Will be home Sat or Sunday. Jay. Some sleuthing in Times files turned up an obituary for Orin G. Shippee of Antwerp, 1895-1969, who worked at the Baumert factory for many years. His wife, Edna Felshaw Shippee, was born five months after her husband and died one month before him.
