BRASHER FALLS - Once again the Tri-Town Chamber of Commerce Winter Carnival is just around the corner. Once again they are having a snow sculpture contest as a part of the carnival.

The Winter Carnival theme this year is Proud to be an American. The snow sculpture best depicting that theme will win first prize. Anyone in the Tri-Town area—Brasher, Lawrence or Stockholm—is eligible to enter the contest. There is no entry fee.

There are a few rules which apply. As noted above, the carnival theme must be depicted. The sculpture must be inside the Tri-Town area. The sculpture must be built entirely of snow and/or ice— no wood, plastic, metal or other structural members.

First prize will be $100, second prize $50 and third place $25

Judging will occur during the afternoon of Feb. 13, and the winners will be announced at the Winter Carnival opening ceremony at the Knights of Columbus Hall.

To enter the contest, contact Rick’s Auto Body at 389-5618. Be sure to tell them where your sculpture is located.
