Four charged with issuing bad checks at McGinney’s


THERESA—Two women and two men were each charged with issuing a bad check after state police said they all issued bad checks at McGinney’s convenience store and gas station.

Scott A. Hyneman, 51, of 44 S. Main St., Hammond; Shawn L. McGregor, 37, of 33D Grantville Road, Norfolk; Tiffany E. Lindey, 38, of 34930 Route 37, Theresa, and Kelly J. Hockey, 35, of 25972 School St., Plessis, were all accused of issuing the bad checks at the store, at 38198 Route 37, on Oct. 23.

The check Mr. Hyneman issued was for $33.57, Ms. Lindey’s was for $30.30 and Ms. Hockey’s was for $80.61. The value of the check Mr. McGregor issued is not yet known.

Mr. Hyneman was arrested at 9:20 p.m. Monday at Bodman Memorial Library, 8 Aldrich St., Philadelphia. Mr. McGregor was arrested at 7:45 p.m. Monday on Route 37 in Theresa. Ms. Lindey was arrested at 10:20 a.m. Jan. 30 at her residence. Ms. Hockey was arrested at 12:44 p.m. Jan. 30 at 140 Charles St., Watertown.

All four were issued appearance tickets for Town Court.
