A Fort Drum man was charged Monday after he was identified in connection with a motor vehicle accident that occurred Jan. 26 on Burns Avenue.

According to city police, a car driven by Evan C. Sanborn, 21, of 11011 4th Armored Division 211, slid on snow and ice and struck the vehicle of Stephanie M. Young, 1721A Burns Ave, while it was parked in front of her residence. According to the accident report, his front bumper hit Ms. Young’s rear bumper, causing minor damage. Police said Mr. Sanborn left a note, but did not include vehicle or driver information and the phone number left on the note did not work.

Surveillance video caught the accident on camera, but was unable to get registration information on Mr. Sanborn’s 2012 Hyundai sedan.

He was located Monday, when he admitted to being involved in an accident, but “did not know what to do.” He cited with leaving the scene of an accident and imprudent speed.
