LAFARGEVILLE- Ralph H. Haller, 92, formerly of LaFargeville, passed away on Monday February 3, 2014 at the Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown.
Born January 10, 1922 in LaFargeville, NY, he was the son of the late Norris B. and the late Bertha R. Haas Haller and graduated from LaFargeville High School in 1940.
He married Irene M. Mexdorf on August 17, 1950 at the Depauville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Albert Walker, officiating.
Mr. and Mrs. Haller were the 5th generation owners of the family farm on Haller Road, retiring in 1983. Following his retirement Mr. Haller was employed with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and Grove Cemetery, LaFargeville.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and yard work.
Survivors including his wife, Irene are a daughter, Sheryl Clark of Clayton; two sons and their wives, Joseph and Debra of Cicero and Gary and Sheryl of Theresa; one sister, Marion Huchzermeir of Cicero; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; three step grandchildren; several step great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews.
A brother, Clyde Haller and a sister, Irene White died before him.
The funeral will be 5 pm Friday at Frederick Bros Funeral Home, Inc., Theresa, with Pastor Donald Briant officiating. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, LaFargeville.
Calling hours are 2 to 5 pm at the funeral home Friday prior to the funeral.
