Travel conditions could worsen tonight through early Saturday as yet another lake-effect snow storm hits the north country.
The National Weather Services lake-effect snow warning for Jefferson and Lewis counties takes effect at 6 p.m. this evening and continues through 1 a.m. Saturday.
According to the weather service, 2 to 4 inches of snow is in the forecast for tonight; 4 to 7 inches Friday and an inch or less Friday night.
In the Tug Hill region, a total of 6 to 12 inches of snow is expected to accumulate during the lake-effect storm.
