Andrew Smith scored 18 points, hitting five 3-point shots, to lead unbeaten Carthage to a 52-37 win over Immaculate Heart Central in Thursday night’s Frontier League “A’’ Division boys basketball championship game at Jefferson Community College.

Peyton McLaurin added 13 points and Walter Jeter 11 for the top-seeded Comets (17-0), who fell behind 16-7 after one quarter but outscored the Cavaliers 45-20 the final three periods.

Jude Whalen led second-seeded IHC (13-5) with 11 points.
