HARASSMENT - CANTON - Canton-based state police charged Andrew S. Ritchie, 22, of Ogdensburg with second-degree harassment Thursday afternoon stemming from an investigation into an incident reported to troopers at 9:01 p.m. Jan. 13 from the town of Canton. The arrest was made at 405 Lafayette St., Ogdensburg.
PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT - CANTON - State police investigated a number of property damage accidents around the region on Thursday. Among those:
■ Charles E. Laprade, 57, of Brasher Falls at 8:11 a.m. on Route 30 at Route 458 in the town of Duane.
TWO JAILED - BANGOR - Two Franklin County men were jailed following an early Friday morning traffic stop on Lee Road in the town of Bangor.
Malone-based state police charged Ryan R. Avery, 34, of Moira with resisting arrest and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and ticketed him for operation of a vehicle with insufficient tail lights and unsafe tires, making an unsafe turn and speeding. He was arraigned in local court and sent to the Franklin County Jail with bail set at $1,500 cash. A passenger in his vehicle, Shane M. Lauzon, 22, of Constable was charged with second-degree facilitating aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and second-degree criminal impersonation. He was also arraigned in local court and sent to the Franklin County Jail, where he was charged at 4:15 a.m. with possession of prison contraband.
