Croghan woman charged with forgery

LOWVILLE—Village police on Friday arrested Kayleigh I. Arnold, 22, of Convent Street, Croghan, on a charge that she cashed a forged check.

Police said Ms. Arnold went to the Community Bank in the Lowville Plaza, 7395 Turin Road, and cashed the check.

She was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, a class D felony. She was arraigned in Village Court and sent to the Lewis County Jail on $1,500 bail.

State police assisted village police in the arrest.
