The funeral for Marie G. Boyle will be Sunday, February 9th, 3:00pm at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home. Calling hours will precede the service from 1:00pm - 3:00pm. Burial will be held in the spring at Sanford Corner’s Cemetery.

Marie passed away at her son’s residence in Syracuse on February 3rd. She was 94 years old.

Born in Watertown November 15, 1919, she was a daughter to John and Rose Mylor Gaffney. She was educated locally. She married Gordon B. Boyle on July 20, 1944 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, Watertown. Mr. Boyle died in 1996.

Mrs. Boyle worked as a glass blower at John L. Storz Thermometer Company in Watertown for many years. She enjoyed playing dart baseball, knitting and crocheting, and was a member of St. Anthony’s baseball team.

Surviving are a son: Patrick Boyle, Syracuse; 6 grandchildren: Timothy John (Catherine) Boyle, Clayton, Patricia Ann (Christopher) Basile, LaFargeville, Sean Patrick Boyle, Watertown, Katie Colleen (Andrew) Shaw, Watertown, Patrick Michael Boyle, Jr., Syracuse, Kacey Christina Boyle, Liverpool; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Hospice of Jefferson County, 1398 Gotham Street, Watertown, NY 13601, or Hospice of Central New York, 990 7th N. Street, Liverpool, NY 13088.

Arrangements are with Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Watertown.
