DWI - BOMBAY - Massena-based state police charged Angel Garlow, 24, of Cornwall, Ont., with driving while intoxicated and ticketed her for failure to keep right and unlicensed operation of a motor v vehicle at 3:14 a.m. Saturday following a stop on Route 37 in the town of Bombay.



TWO INJURED - BANGOR - Malone-based state police said two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision at 5:49 p.m. Friday on Route 11, near Brockway Road, in the town of Bangor. Troopers said the vehicles were operated by Noel N. Fefee, 60, of Brushton and Michael Alfieri, 43, of Moira.



PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENTS - CANTON - State police investigated a number of property damage accidents around the region on Friday. Among those:

■ Chantal P. Millington, 19, of Brant Lake at 9:22 p.m. on state Route 68, near Potter Road, in the town of Canton.

■ Willard M. Longshore, 69, of Waddington at 7:11 a.m. on Route 11, near McEwen Road, in the town of Lawrence.

■ David Martin Muehl, 70, of North Bangor at 6:02 p.m. on County Route, near Route 11B, in the town of Dickinson.

■ Tamara L. Coffman, 34, of Evans Mills and William P. Foote, 47, of Hannawa Falls at 6:24 p.m. in the Salmon Run mall parking lot loop in Watertown.





PERSONAL INJURY ACCIDENT - MALONE - Malone-based state police reported to a two–car, head-on collision at approximately 6:45 a.m. Friday on County Route 51, near the intersection with state Route 37, in Malone.

Troopers said a 2001 Subaru driven byRichard L. Dafoe, 37, of Russellwas northbound on County Route 51 when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck a southbound 2004 Pontiac driven by Michelle L. Grimshaw, 33, of Malone. A 9-year-old male and a 10-year-old male were passengers in Grimshaw’s vehicle.

Occupants of both vehicles were transported to Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone for treatment.

Dafoe was ticketed for unsafe speed and no seatbelt.



RESISTING ARREST - BANGOR - Malone-based state police charged Ryan R. Avery, 34, of Moira with resisting arrest and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and ticketed him for operation of a vehicle with insufficient tail lights and unsafe tires, making an unsafe turn and speeding. He was arraigned in Bangor Town Court and sent to the Franklin County Jail with bail set at $1,500 cash.

A passenger in his vehicle, Shane M. Lauzon, 22, of Constable was charged with second-degree facilitating aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and second-degree criminal impersonation. He was also arraigned in local court and sent to the Franklin County Jail, where he was charged at 4:15 a.m. with possession of prison contraband.

According to police reports, troopers attempted to pull over a 1996 Honda Accord on U.S. Route 11 in Bangor shortly after midnight Friday.

When the trooper activated his emergency lights, the Honda turned north onto Lee Road, where the driver lost control, causing the car to go off the east shoulder of the road and get stuck in a snowbank, troopers said.

Three people in the car fled on foot but were captured after a short chase. Avery, the driver, was found to have a revoked license, and Lauzon gave troopers a false name and date of birth, troopers said.

The third person in the car was not charged.

When Lauzon was being processed into the jail, sheriff’s deputies discovered he had hidden cigarettes and a lighter on his person. Both men are scheduled to reappear Feb. 10 in Bangor Town Court.
