Jeanne Marie Amyot, 98, died Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Samaritan Keep Home, Watertown where she had been a patient since 2003.

Born on February 12, 1915 in Sarsfield, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Napolean and Emma Cardinal Faubert.

She married George J. Amyot on December 26, 1933 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Osgoode, Ontario, Canada. Mr. Amyot took his new bride to reside in Rossie, NY where they operated a farm, moving twice more to the South Hammond area.

Mr. and Mrs. Amyot were communicants of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Hammond.

Survivors include four sons, Edgar and his wife Mary of Hammond, the Rev. Andrew J. of Norfolk, and twins, Mark and Martin, both of Albany; two daughters, Margaret Charlebois of Liverpool, NY and Diane Connell and her husband Louis of Brownville, NY; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Andre` Faubert of Greelly, Ontario; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceeded in death by her husband George of 67 years on December 3, 2001; eight brothers, Paul, Renee`, Marc, Clifford, Gabriel, Stephen and John; two sisters, Irene Marion and Teresa Ladoceur.

A Mass of the Christian Burial will be offered by Rev. Andrew J. Amyot, Rev. Douglas Decker, Rev. Robert Decker and other priest from the dioceses on Monday, February 10, 2014 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Hammond, NY at 11am. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Rossie, NY. There will be a luncheon at St. Peter’s Catholic Church following the service.

Calling hours will be Sunday, February 9, 2014 from 2-5pm at Frederick Bros. Funeral Home, Inc., Theresa, NY.
