I am 52 years old and have never publicity endorsed anyone who is seeking election to a political position. It is time for a change.

I am definitely voting for Eugene J. Langone Jr. in his race for Jefferson County Family Court judge.

There are two good reasons why.

I know the man, first of all.

And a little more than 20 years ago, Mr. Langone and his wife, Amy, where my landlords for a very short time.

Fortunately for me, this was during one of the worst times of my life.

I had made some major mistakes, and there were also false rumors about me that I am still dealing with to this day.

Through it all when I was living in the apartment, I knew I had a sanctuary.

They accepted me for the person I was, not for the mistakes I made or for the rumors.

I am ashamed to say that I don’t believe I ever thanked them for this.

They were on an extremely short list of people who stood by me when my life was falling apart.

The other reason I am endorsing Mr. Langone in his race is because of my background.

I have a B.A. in psychology and an M.ED. in counseling and human development.

I have experience in human services working with youths and their families.

I have been playground director, a child care worker and a probation officer.

In both my personal and professional lives, I have never met anyone else like Mr. Langone who lives his life with such honesty and integrity.

If you want to elect a politician, vote for one of the other candidates.

If you decide to vote for the best person for the position, elect Eugene J. Langone Jr. for Jefferson County Family Court judge.
