BRASHER FALLS - OFA has shown the ability to bounce back from disappointing losses in the current NAC Hockey season.

The Blue Devils (6-8, 8-11) will be looking to regroup from a 7-0 loss to St. Lawrence Central (8-5-1,12-6-1), in their NAC finale on Monday, as they host Tupper Lake in the Section Division II quarter-finals at the Golden Dome on Friday night.

With a victory on Friday third seeded OFA will visit St. Lawrence Central again in the semi-finals next weekj.

The second seeded Larries, who struck for three goals in the first and third periods, will draw a bye on Friday along with top-seeded Norwood-Norfolk (11-4-0. 14-4-0), which received another strong offensive showing from its Madrid-Waddington contingent in gaining a 7-4 at MaloneMonday.

Other NAC action saw The Islanders tie Canton 2-2 and Tupper Lake dropped a 7-4 nonleague decision to Saranac Central.

SLC 7 - OFA 0: Kody Kocsis tallied three goals with two assists, Lucas Arquiett delivered two goals and Chad Stickney and Nick Kowalchuk delivered single goals in support Nate Burnett’s 29-save shutout.

Luke Sutton passed out two assists and Luke Peets, Drew Rose. Hadyn St. Hilaire and Jack Pullano each added solo assists.Dave Prudhomme stopped nine shots in the first period for OFA with Adam Bouchey fielding 17 over the next two stanzas.

N-N 7 - Malone 4: The Icemen opened a 5-2 lead in the third period and then pulled away after the Huskies Bailey Conklin cut the difference to 5-4 with goals early in the third period. Kaden Pickering delivered three goals and two assists and Zeb Brown tallied two goals and two assists with an empty netter.

Rounding out the N-N scoring were: Jeff Mott (1 goal, 1 assist), Tyler Fobare (1 assist), Austin Cousineau (2 assists), Coby Munson (1 goal, 1 assist) and Shade Cryderman (1 assist).

Kyler MacIntire (13 saves) and Brandon Richards (10 saves) combined for 23 N-N stops and Joey Brown handled 23 shots for the Huskies.

Canton 2 - Islanders 2: Cody Moore scored an unassisted, power-play goal with 1:45 remaining in regulation for the Golden Bears.

Josh Huiatt also scored for Canton (9-6-2, 7-1-2) and goalie Jon Stone made 29 saves. Jordan VanBrocklin scored a goal and assisted on another for the Islanders (5-11-1, 2-10-1) and Miles Kearns made 38 saves.
