Police arrested three people Tuesday and seized 38 grams of powdered cocaine, 48 baggies of crack cocaine, 159 bags of heroin and $2,200 in cash after raiding a Watertown motel, according to a news release.
Members of the Metro-Jeff Drug Task Force assisted by the Watertown Police Department and the state Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team arrested Lamont Taylor, 35, of New York City, Kristopher M. Steplight, 35, of Staten Island, and Rhonda Jo Galloway, 25, of 540 Factory St., Watertown.
Mr. Taylor and Ms. Galloway were each charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Mr. Steplight was charged with one count of the same charge.
Ms. Galloway was additionally charged with endangering the welfare of a child because a three-year-old child was with her.
All three were sent to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building after being arraigned in Watertown City Court. Mr. Taylor is being held on a $25,000 bail, Ms. Galloways bail was set at $20,000 and Mr. Steplight is being held without bail.
The investigation is ongoing.
