CANTON — Kelly Legg scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the St. Lawrence University women’s basketball team to a 63-58 victory over Skidmore College in a Liberty League game Tuesday night.

Allison Cady scored 14 points and Kara McDuffee tallied 12 for SLU (14-6 overall, 10-1 conference).

Angela Botiba led Skidmore (9-12, 4-8) with 21 points and 15 rebounds. Jordyn Wartts scored 14 points and Amber Holgate 11.

MEN’S BASKETBALL

SKIDMORE 52, ST. LAWRENCE 50

Aldin Medunjanin scored 16 points and added nine assists to send Skidmore (14-7, 8-4) past the Saints in a Liberty League game in Canton. Erik Sanders added 11 points. Janpeter Brase paced the Saints (7-13, 3-8) with a 13-point effort.

WOMEN’S HOCKEY

NEUMANN 3, SUNY CANTON 1

Megan Russelo scored twice as Neumann (6-14-1) defeated the Kangaroos in a nonconference game in Aston, Pa. Dru Austin also scored for Neumann, which held a 36-16 shots advantage. Karley Cree scored for the Kangaroos (7-13-3).
