West Carthage - Ronald C. Lytle, 68, of 33 N. Main St. Apt. B, died Tuesday, February 11, 2014, in the emergency room of the Carthage Area Hospital after being stricken.
Ron was born in Syracuse on August 20, 1945, the son of the late Charles and Dora Hodge Lytle. He was a graduate of Watertown High. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1966 to 1968. He married Kimberly A. Ellis on October 20, 1979 in Natural Bridge. Ron worked at the Trading Post in Lake Clear, Super Duper of Raybrook, was Head Custodian for St. James Church and Cemetery for over ten years, part-time custodian for Carthage Central School and worked construction for LUNCO Corp. for many years. The couple made their home in Natural Bridge until two years ago.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #789 of Carthage.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly A. of West Carthage, one daughter: Mrs. Lee (Michele) Bach of Champion, one son and his companion: Ronald C. Lytle and Heather Trombley of Natural Bridge, a grandson, Kurtis Bach, 2 granddaughters, Emily Bach and Jayden Lytle; one sister: Patricia Young of Syracuse, four brothers: Robert and Richard both of Watertown, Raymond of LaFargeville and Roy of Liverpool and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a celebration of his life on Saturday, Feb. 15th at 1:00pm at the American Legion Post in Carthage. There will be no calling hours. His body was cremated. Arrangements are with the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home, Carthage.
