COPENHAGEN — The Tug Hill Snowkite Rally returns here from Saturday to Monday.

“We have about 60 people right now registered. We’re seeing people from New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Vermont, Pennsylvania, Syracuse, Connecticut, Ottawa. We’ve got some Canadians coming. It’s like a big conference,” Event organizer Jean Dunoyer said.

The event will be at Deer River Ranch, 1414 Route 177. Snowkiters will start arriving about 9 a.m. Saturday and will be allowed in the air late in the day. The next two days of snowkiting will start at 9 a.m. and go until about 4:30 p.m. Registration is free, but all participants must sign a liability waiver. The event is not recommended for beginners.

A full list of sponsors and accommodations is available at www.tughillsnowkiting.com. Additional details are available on Facebook under Tug Hill Snowkite Rally.
