MALONE — Massena and Gouverneur won the respective Division I and Division II championships at the Section 10 wrestling tournament Saturday.

Massena totaled 182 1/2 points and 10 wrestlers advanced to the state meet, slated for Feb. 28 and March 1 at the Times Union Center in Albany. Gouverneur finished with 202 1/2 points, sending eight wrestlers to the state meet.

Michael Brown (126), Austin Amo (145), Hunter Perrine (160) and Nolan Terrance (285) each won titles by pin for Massena. Dal Elman won by technical fall at 152 pounds for the Red Raiders. Brian Plourde (99), Nathan Marshall (113), Alec Denney (132), Gavin Perrine (138) and Jeremy Malone (195) also advanced for Massena.

Gouverneur will send Daniel Mullin (120), Joey Bush (126), Aaron Bush (132), Zach Ayen (138), Justin Garrison (182), Aaaron McEathron (195), Jacob Beckwith (220) and Mason Wing (285) to states after each won section titles.

OFA took second in Division II with 174 points, followed by Malone with 80. For OFA, Cordell David (99), Cameron Searles (106), Tanner Lapiene (113), Bailey Phelps (152), Cody-Allen David (160) and Alex Cole (170) claimed titles. Cameron Searles (106) and Jamiel Stapleton (145) won for Malone.

Canton took second in Division I with 130 points. Ryan Brown (106), Chaz Agen (120), Jared Cascanette (170), Alan Clement (182) and Thomas Lumbard (220) won titles.

BOYS BASKETBALL

LISBON 45, HARRISVILLE 43

Alex Gravlin’s putback with four seconds to play completed Lisbon’s comeback against Harrisville in a Section 10 Class D quarterfinal at SUNY Canton.

Lisbon trailed 15-2 after one quarter, but outscored Harrisville 32-18 through the middle two quarters before a back-and-forth final period.

Jake Putney scored 10 of his 18 points in the second quarter for the Golden Knights. Jimmy Robinson added 15 points and 15 rebounds. Gravlin finished with seven points and eight rebounds.

Tim Fowler scored 18 points for Harrisville (12-8) and tied the game at 43-43 with 13 seconds left. Brendan Best scored eight of his nine points in the fourth quarter.

MADRID-WADDINGTON 59, MORRISTOWN 56

Zach Brock scored 21 points and Madrid-Waddington didn’t take its first lead of the game until the final 43 seconds of the game en route to an upset of No. 2 Morristown at SUNY Canton.

Brock hit a pair of free throws with 15 seconds left to help pad the lead after Jacob Burney’s 3-pointer pushed the Yellowjackets ahead 57-56.

David Odendahl scored 14 points and Barney 12 for Madrid-Waddington. T.J. Oshier supplied 11 points and six rebounds.

Jake VanArnam scored 19 points for Morristown. Zach Kanaly and Ryan Vollmer each added 13 points.

ST. REGIS FALLS 55, HEUVELTON 38

Louis Goodreau scored 17 points as the unbeaten Saints jumped on the Bulldogs in the first quarter en route to a Class D quarterfinal win at SUNY Canton.

Corey LaBounty contributed 12 points and Tyler Daggett 10 for St. Regis Falls (19-0), which led 20-5 after a quarter. Goodreau added six rebounds and five blocks.

Jack Palmer scored 14 points for Heuvelton (14-6), and Jeff Arquitt scored 11.

CHATEAUGAY 61, EDWARDS-KNOX 54

Noah Bowes scored 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds for Chateaugay (14-6) in a Class D quarterfinal win at SUNY Canton.

Seth Young added 18 points and six assists for the Bulldogs. Kaden Dandrow scored 14 points, Jeremiah Randall 11 and Dan Pharoah 10 for Edwards-Knox (13-7).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

MADRID-WADDINGTON 34, HAMMOND 33

Kaleigh Field hit a shot from the corner with 5.5 seconds left to give Madrid-Waddington a 34-33 victory over Hammond in a Class D quarterfinal at OFA.

Courtney Bova had hit a 3-pointer with 16.8 seconds left to give Hammond a 33-32 lead.

Field finished with 11 points and Jenn King added 10 for the Yellowjackets. Bova finished with 16 points for the Red Devils, including seven in the final quarter.

HEUVELTON 63, EDWARDS-KNOX 35

Paige McCormick scored 19 of her 21 points in the first half to lead the Bulldogs past the Cougars in a Class D quarterfinal at OFA. Alexis Weidner added 10 points for the Bulldogs and Maddie St. Pierre snagged 11 rebounds.

McKenzie Frarie led the Cougars with a 12-point effort.

CHATEAUGAY 59, MORRISTOWN 39

A 23-point game from Abbey Barnes sent the Bulldogs past the Green Rockets in a Class D quarterfinal at OFA. Hanna Cook added 11 points for Chateaugay.

Jessica Geddes led Morristown with 14 points and Taylor Piercey tallied 10.

HOCKEY

MASSENA 4, SALMON RIVER 3 (2 OT)

Patrick Manning scored 3:22 into the second overtime period as the Red Raiders edged the Shamrocks in a Section 10 Division I semifinal at Massena.

Maddox Merry tied the game with 32 seconds left in regulation for Massena (15-5-1), which will play Potsdam in the division championship Feb. 23 at Cheel Arena.

Sean David supplied a pair of goals for Salmon River (8-11-2).

POTSDAM 4, CANTON 1

Logan Ford’s goal and two assists helped the Sandstoners past the Bears in a Division I semifinal at Canton.

Josh Locey tallied a goal and an assist for Potsdam (10-9-1).

Tanner Sanderson scored for Canton (9-9-2).
