BENCH WARRANT - MASSENA - Village police picked up Ethan T. Klemp, 22, of 2 Elm Circle, Massena, at 12:06 a.m. Sunday on a bench warrant from the town of Guiderland following a traffic stop on Maple Street earlier in the evening. He was turned over to state police, transported to Guiderland and arraigned on the warrant on underlying charges of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic needle and a speed in zone (81/65) ticket. He was arraigned, sent to the Warren County Jail and released later on Sunday. Village police had ticketed Klemp for operation of a vehicle with an inadequate muffler following the traffic stop at 10:52 p.m. Saturday following a traffic stop on Maple Street.



BENCH WARRANT - MASSENA - State police picked up Megan N. Laflesh, 20, of 386 South Raquette River Road, Massena, on a bench warrant Friday and turned her over to village police. The warrant alleged she had violated the conditions of her release under probation supervision on a drug charge. She remained in custody at the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility Monday awaiting arraignment later this week in county court.

Massena Village Police had charged Gerald L. Dissottle Jr,.and Laflesh, both formerly living at 15 Bishop Ave., with a felony third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance counts on Oct. 27, 2012.

The couple were living in the Bishop Avenue apartment where one man was shot and another robbed during a drug-related incident earlier that week.

Village police seized 1,640 bundles of heroin — nearly 4 ounces — found in a bedroom closet of women’s clothes when they conducted a search related to the shooting and stabbing. The street value of the drugs was more than $30,000, Massena Village Police Chief Timmy J. Currier said at the time of the incident.

Laflesh and Dissottle had both denied knowing there was $30,000 worth of heroin packaged for sale hidden in a bedroom closet at their residence.



INADEQUATE MUFFLER - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Dario A. Hernandez, 25, of Cutry Lane, Massena, for operation of a vehicle with an inadequate muffler at 10:35 p.m. Saturday following a traffic stop on North Main Street.



FAILURE TO YIELD - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Narissa N. Secore, 22, of Center Street, Massena, for failure to yield the way when entering a roadway at 9:35 a.m. Sunday following a two-vehicle property damage accident on Maple Street.
