State police on Thursday arrested Chad M. Gaffney, 30, of 24358 Route 12, on multiple charges, including a felony count of criminal contempt, after a domestic dispute.
Police said Mr. Gaffney and his wife, Whitney Gaffney, of 339 Arlington St., were engaged in a domestic dispute on Jan. 24.
Mr. Gaffney was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a class E felony, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, fourth-degree criminal mischief and criminal obstruction of breathing, all misdemeanors. Police did not provide details on the charges.
He was arrested at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, where police said he was being held on charges in an unrelated case. In November 2012, Mr. Gaffney was sentenced to 1½ to 3 years in prison on a second-degree assault charge after he assaulted Ms. Gaffney at their residence in June 2012.
He is to appear in Watertown Town Court to answer the charges.
