Clarkson (17-13-2 overall, 10-8 ECAC Hockey) plays its final regular-season road games this weekend, traveling to play Union (20-6-4, 14-3-1) and Rensselaer (13-12-5, 7-7-4).
The Golden Knights had a rough weekend, losing twice at home. Clarkson was 14 seconds away from a tie against Harvard before falling 1-0 in overtime and then Dartmouth stunned the Golden Knights with a 6-1 win on Saturday.
Despite the two losses Clarkson did not lose any ground in the standings and is still in the fourth place, which is the final spot that would earn a first-round bye.
If Clarkson can maintain that spot over the next four games than this will be the last road trip of the season for the Golden Knights.
The Golden Knights will still be missing senior captain Ben Sexton, who was injured on Feb. 8 against Princeton and missed both of last week's games. Senior Matt Zarbo, who has missed the last nine games with an injury may be returning this weekend. Clarkson has gone 3-6 in his absence.
Zarbo was also named one of the 10 national finalists for the Senior Class Award, which goes to an athlete who excels both on and off the ice.
This week's conversations include head coach Casey Jones, Zarbo, sophomore defenseman Paul Geiger and freshman forward Jordan Boucher.
