Lisbon holds FROGS assembly to honor student readership


LISBON - On Feb. 7 a FROGS (Fun Reading of Good Stories) assembly was held at Lisbon Central School.

The following students were honored for becoming members of the FROGS reading program: Alyssa Flack, Saloma Miller, Michael Rowe, Kierstin Dominie, Ava Downey, Bradley Lawton, Maddison Mason, Ava Teele, Cole Woods, Averie Farrand, Jocelyn Lazaro, Elijah McDonald, Kyra Randle, Todd Terhune, Mary Bonno, Camden Hall, Benjamin Stasiuk, Nathan Woods, Ava Bouchey, Truman Gendebien, Cara Lawrence, Ava Murphy, Zackary Dutton, Emma Gravlin, Eliza McLear, Vanessa Skipka, Katelyn Adams, Mikaela Buckley, Abigail Evans, Eric Robinson, Jayden Williams, Trent Williams, Riley Beldock, Cooper Davison, Miles Gendebien, Naleigha Kinney, Alexis Worden, Natalie Hyde, Erika Snyder, Kursten Cooke, Brooke Measheaw, Jacob Trombley and Claire Ward.

Becoming a Super Kid were Garrett Flack, Riley Burwell, Alysse Young, Averee Bouchey, Abbaghail Compo, Justin Dean, Kaden Demers, Averie Farrand and Ty Jacobs.

Layla Rishe, Caleb Wilkinson, Chayse Hitsman, Olivia Hitsman, Madison Hyde, Rylee Jones, Claire Murphy, Ava Murphy, Harry Scott, Isabella Doyle, Chase Jacobs, Storm Walker, Miles Gendebien, Michael Bice, Makayla Paro and Cassidy Hargrave were honored for achieving the next point level with 50 points.

Being recognized at the 75 point level were Rylea Kelley, Addison VanTassel, Connor Bell, Megan Deruchia, Rachel Beldock, Ivey Davison, Alexa McKee, Kallie Wood, Paige Carbino, Kristian Perry, Maya Randle and Nathan Spooner.

Receiving the 100 point gift basket were Rachel Beldock, Ivey Davison, Karter Jordan, Alexa McKee, Harrison Wert, Paige Carbino, Alford Lawton, Elizabeth Phillips, Maya Randl, and Cameron Shippee.

Riley Baxter, Danielle Johnson, Pyperanne Bender, Abbagail Flack and Angelina Schembry read to the 150 point mark.

Caleigh Smith, Matthew Walker, and Angelina Schembry made it to 200 points. Michael Bolesh and Karli Thompson reached the 250 point level. Vanessa Dawson, Michael Bolesh, Karli Thompson, and Amanda Walker became a 300 point STAR reader.

Reading his way to 500 and 600 points was Jacob Skeels.

Students who were recognized for their achievements received prizes that were generously donated by the LCS Library Club and the FROGS Club.
