SYRACUSE — Copenhagen shot just 16 percent from the field en route to a 43-21 loss to Oriskany in the Section 3 Class D girls basketball semifinals Sunday at Onondaga Community College’s Allyn Hall Gymnasium.

The fourth-seeded Redskins (15-4) will play No. 2 Hamilton in the Class D title game at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Carrier Dome.

The Golden Knights, who were the top seed and entered with a 12-game winning streak, ended their season at 16-3.

They were the last Frontier League basketball team, boys or girls, remaining in the sectional playoffs.
