MEXICO—State police said a Mexico man physically confronted a woman, damaged her vehicle and kicked in the door of their shared residence during a domestic disturbance Monday night.

Jeffrey B. MacDougall, 42, of 139 Green Road, was arrested at 7:26 p.m. at the residence he shares with Carla S. Marshall. Police said Mr. MacDougall pushed and shoved Ms. Marshall and obstructed her breathing during the incident.

He also was accused of shattering the windshield, breaking the driver’s side mirror and ripping wires from Ms. Marshall’s vehicle. A value for the damage to the vehicle and the door is not known.

Mr. MacDougall was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a class E felony, criminal obstruction of breathing and second-degree harassment. He was arraigned in New Haven Town Court and sent to the Oswego County jail, Oswego, without bail.
