Copenhagen- Robert O. Larkins, 81, of 7794 WoodBattle Road in Copenhagen died on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at his home. He was born on November 5, 1932 in Lowville to Ira O. and Glenora Hutchinson Larkins. He attended Copenhagen and other area schools. He was a Logger and Dairy Farmer. He owned and operated his own Dairy Farm, Larkins & Son’s on Route 177. He married Lucy Wing on June 1, 1957 in Mexico, New York.

He loved gardening and his tomato plants. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting, and making maple syrup. He enjoyed taking truck rides with his son.

He is survived by his wife, Lucy, Copenhagen; six children, Robert O. Jr., and Barbara Larkins, NC; Lucy G. Armer, and companion Daniel Piszczek, NC; Helen M. Larkins and Theodore Bielecki, Lowville; Mark I. and Brenda Larkins, NC; Victor J. Larkins, and his companion Lorie Anderson, Lowville; and Penny and her husband Shareef Stokely, Copenhagen. He is also survived by two sisters, Ardeth VanNest, Lowville; and Beatrice Bumbaco, CT; and several half -brothers and sisters. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Calling Hours will be held at the Lundy Funeral Home in Copenhagen on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at the Watertown Baptist Temple at 11:00am, located on Route 3 with Pastor, Dewey Stewart III. Burial will be held privately in the spring. Arrangements are being handled by the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc. located in Copenhagen. Donations in his memory to the American Heart Association.
