LOWVILLE — A village man was arrested Monday night after village police said he punched a 10-year-old boy and intentionally damaged his tablet computer in a domestic disturbance.

Duane A. Rush, 41, of 5434 Park Place, Apt. 3, was accused of punching the boy in the face and damaging the tablet during an argument.

Police said the child yelled for help out his window. A neighbor heard and called police.

Mr. Rush was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and arraigned in Village Court before being sent to the Lewis County jail on $500 bail. County sheriff’s deputies and state police also responded to the scene.

Village police said additional charges could be forthcoming.
