OBGC clinches CYO League title


Rudy Binion orchestrated a quick-striking offense with 12 assists and Ryan Petell anchored the defense with seven blocks, while scoring a game-high 20 points, as the Ogdensburg Boys and Girls Club completed a championship regular season in the Franklin CYO Basketball League with a 63-30 victory over Chateaugay on Monday.

Coach Tom Luckie Jr’s team broke out to a 23-4 first quarter lead where Petell scored 10 points and Jordan Miller netted nine of his 15 points on the night.

Binion tallied seven points for the winners and Dominic Molinari added five.

Jed McRoberts and Dylan LaFleur each scored six second half points leading a solid showing by the team’s reserves.

The OBGC (10-1) will defend it s league playoff title on March 9 when the semi-finals and finals of will be staged at St. Joseph’s in Malone.
