CAMBRIDGE, Mass. Binghamton University freshman and former Watertown High standout Brianne Arthur was named America East womens lacrosse player of the week.
Arthur, the 2013 Times All-North MVP in girls lacrosse, scored five goals and tied the school record for most goals in a game by a freshman. Arthur also chipped in with an assist in the Bearcats 20-6 season-opening win over Howard on Saturday.
Arthur also scored five goals, including the game-winner with one minute, 34 seconds left in regulation as the Binghamton edged Lehigh, 10-9, in Tuesdays nonconference game at Bethlehem, Pa. Former Immaculate Heart Central product Angela Vespa supplied an assist.
