POTSDAM A Massena couple is being accused of shoplifting from the Walmart Supercenter 7494 Route 11.
State police on Feb. 21 charged Deshelia R. Thomas, 38, and Brian E. Snyder, 25, both of South Racquette Road, with petit larceny. Ms. Thomas was charged with a second count of petit larceny for an alleged second theft from the store.
Troopers received a report Thursday from Walmart employees that a woman, allegedly identified as Ms. Thomas, had left the store about 5 p.m. that day, setting off the security alarms, and was picked up by a vehicle in front of the store. Loss prevention determined she allegedly had stolen three cellphone cases totaling $249.10.
Trooper responded back to the store later that day when employees reported Ms. Thomas and Mr. Snyder were in the store allegedly putting items in her purse and left without paying. They were alleged to have been in possession of two boxes of hair color, Lysol spray, wire hooks, NyQuil, Mucinex and a box of Vicks VapoSteam, totaling $74.32.
Both were issued appearance tickets for Town Court.
