Erica Howe made 15 saves for her 12th shutout of the year for the Golden Knights (26-4-5), who can close out the series at 3 p.m. today with a victory.
Lindsay Holdcroft stopped 38 shots for the Big Green (9-19-1).

Shiann Darkangelo netted a pair of goals in the first period as fourth-seeded Bobcats shut out the No. 5 Saints at Hamden, Conn., to take 1-0 lead in the best-of-three ECAC Hockey quarterfinal series.
Chelsea Laden turned aside 28 shots for Quinnipiac (21-5-9), which can sweep the series with a win in game at 4 p.m. today.
Carmen MacDonald made 24 saves for St. Lawrence (13-18-3).
JEFFERSON CC 68, MOHAWK VALLEY CC 60
Alyssa Crosbys 22 points and eight rebounds helped the third-seeded Cannoneers outlast the No. 6 Hawks in the Region 3 quarterfinals at Onondaga CC in Syracuse.
Jasmine Canady generated a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds for Jefferson CC (20-6), which faces second-seeded Fulton-Montgomery CC at 1 p.m. today at OCC.
Shakirra Smith and Shelbey Kralik each scored 15 points for Mohawk Valley CC (17-12).

SLU MEN, WOMEN LEAD
St. Lawrence junior Trevor Bibb won the 5,00 meters, and the 800-meter relay team of Adrian Wilson, Omaru Kabia, Shawn Lillie and Karim Creary in day one of the New York State Collegiate Track Conference Championships in Canton.
Bibb finished with a time of 15:03.46, while the relay team combined for a mark of 1:31.61 to put the Saints in first.
In the womens competition, SLU won the distance medley and the 800 relay to give it a lead after day one.
The Saints are trying to take the title from five-time defending champion Ithaca.
3 SAINTS MAKE IT TO QUARTERS
Defending national champion Amr Khalifa and Moustafa Bayoumy made it to the quarterfinals in the mens Pool Division at the College Squash Association Individual Nationals in Philadelphia, Pa.
Khalifa beat Pedro Almeida of Franklin & Marshall in his opening match and Rochesters Ryosei Kobayashi, while Bayoumy topped Karm Kumar of Rochester and Karan Malik of Trinity (Conn.).
Jill Baker advanced to quarterfinals of the Holleran Cup in the womens competition with a win over Randima Ranaweera of Mount Holyoke in the quarterfinals.
