Ogdensburg man arrested for making meth


OGDENSBURG — A city man was arrested Saturday after police said they discovered he was manufacturing methamphetamines out of his home.

Mark A. Brossoit, 51, of 821 Main St., Ogdensburg, was allegedly found with “numerous components” used for the manufacturing of methamphetamine, according to a news release from the Ogdensburg Police Department Criminal Investigations and Narcotics Unit. He was arrested at his home and charged with third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine, a class D felony, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance for the methamphetamine, a class A misdemeanor, and criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument, a class A misdemeanor.

The investigation conducted by Ogdensburg Police Department’s Criminal Investigations and Narcotic Unit, the St. Lawrence County’s Drug Task Force, members of the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and the Gouverneur Police Department. Mr. Brossoit is being held in lockup at the Ogdensburg Police Station awaiting arraignment.
