Our nursing home needs help and it deserves our help.
Perhaps some government intervention or special assistance is possible. Local jobs are at stake, and these people provide a valuable service to our community.
Most people would agree that health care is important, especially when a person is no longer able to take care of themselves and when provided locally.
Most people would also agree that our current health care system could be and even should be improved. The recently enacted Affordable Care Act seems to have a multitude of faults, one of which is the reducing of already low Medicaid and Medicare payments to health care providers and further work together to address the difficulties in the rest of the hastily enacted health care attempt.
Where would the money needed come from? I would also ask them to find the courage to achieve and maintain a balanced federal budget by needed changes in our Social Security system, unemployment and welfare programs.
