POTSDAM - SLC Arts is organizing the next Art Walk from 4 - 6 p.m. May 2.

Registration is open through March 15 to local artists and Potsdam businesses who wish to participate.

The Community Gallery Project started as a simple idea to turn the walls of local businesses, public buildings, and restaurants into galleries for local artists to display their work in non-traditional venues.

The Art Walk is a special village-wide event which celebrates the beginning of a new round of Community Gallery Project exhibits, and gives community members the opportunity to take a self-guided tour of local businesses to meet exhibiting artists in person. Host businesses display a yellow Community Gallery Project sign in their window; a complete list of participating businesses and artists will be available on the SLC Arts website in April.

Area artists and businesses located in Potsdam can register through March 15 to participate in the May 2 event and may choose to continue to host their exhibits through the summer season. For more information, contact SLC Arts at 315-265-6860, www.slcartscouncil.org > Local Art > Art Walk.
