Watertown woman accused of using knife to rob man

A Watertown woman was arrested Sunday after city police said she held a knife to a man and stole his cellphone and money during a burglary last month.

Stephani L.L. Viers, 23, of 654 Emerson St., was accused of unlawfully entering the residence of Adrian D. Paris, 1620 Huntington St., Apt. J3, at around 3 a.m. on Feb. 22.

Police said she then confronted Mr. Paris and held a knife to him, as she took his wallet and cellphone out of his pockets. The value for the phone or money allegedly stolen was not available.

When Mr. Paris attempted to grab the knife, Ms. Viers cut him, causing a deep cut to his left thumb, police said.

She was charged at 11:27 p.m. at her residence with first-degree robbery, a class B felony; first-degree burglary, a class B felony; second-degree assault, a class D felony; fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and petit larceny, both misdemeanors.

Ms. Viers was transported to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building and arraigned in City Court. She was remanded back to the jail on $10,000 cash bail.
